Lareira Restaurant was established in 1982 & since has become a well known Portuguese restaurant on Long Island. The Cardoso family acquired it in 2012 & has made it a family run restaurant since. Lareira specializes in northern Portuguese cuisine while also providing a modern Portuguese twist.
In the Kitchen
Lareira offers traditional plates from "carne de porco alentejana" marinated pork cubes and little neck clams over a bed of fried cube potatoes & "Leitao Assado" oven roasted suckling pig to " Bife Grelhado" grilled shell steak.
Lareira has also expanded its culinary portfolio to include off sight catering.
